Today is week nine in the NFL and I am going to give you my picks for every game this week. First off I will start with the one o’clock games, then the four O’clock games, then the Sunday night game, and finally the Monday night game.
WASHINGTON AT ATLANTA
The Redskins have had former players lashing out against Dan Snyder this past week. All of that talk only hurts this team more and look for Atlanta to take this game easily. DeAngelo Hall returns to Atlanta, his former team, and he hopes to have a big game but with Michael Turner and Matt Ryan, I will take the Falcons 24-10.
ARIZONA AT CHICAGO
Jay Cutler whined like a baby to get out of Denver and yet Kyle Orton is producing more than Cutler who has the second most interceptions in the league. Kurt Warner also has eleven interceptions, same as Cutler, but the Cardinals have bigger name Receivers and look for them to squeak it out 27-24
.
BALTIMORE AT CINCINNATI
The first time these two teams met Carson Palmer led the team to a game winning drive. The Baltimore Ravens have stated that they think Chad OchoCinco cannot take a hit. Look for this to fuel OchoCinco and for him to make big plays in this game. Cincinnati wins 17-14.
HOUSTON AT INDIANAPOLIS
The Colts are undefeated and 7-0 for the fourth time in the past five years. Peyton Manning is showing why he is the MVP of the league with turning no named receivers into fantasy studs. With all that being said and Steve Slaton’s fumbling problem I look for the Texans to take advantage of the depleted Colts secondary and win in a shootout. Texans win 35-31.
KANSAS CITY AT JACKSONVILLE
Larry Johnson is serving a one game suspension which does nothing more than to spin the Chiefs into a spiral that keeps heading downward. Jacksonville has been up and down this season and this game I look forward to them bringing their A game and Tory Holt to get his first touchdown. Jaguars win 38-17.
MIAMI AT NEW ENGLAND
The wildcat offense crushed the Patriots last year with this offense and look to repeat this again this year. Foxborough fans will be on the Patriots if they do not stop this offense. The Dolphins will have their hands full with Wes Welker and Randy Moss and even though I think the Wildcat will work again but too much from the Patriots who pull it out 31-24.
GREEN BAY AT TAMPA BAY
The battle of the “Bay’s” will be no battle at all. Tampa Bay has not won a game all year and I look for them to keep that streak going against the Packers. Aaron Rodgers will be look to throw often and should complete a good percentage of them. Look for the Packers to win 28-13.
CAROLINA AT NEW ORLEANS
Drew Brees and the high powered offense have been astounding as usual but they are not the talk of the town. The Saints defense has 21 takeaways this year and six of them for touchdowns. Even the running game of the Saints has been good. The Panthers are playing much better than they did to start the season but with Jake Delhomme on the field I will take the Saints 42-27.
DETROIT AT SEATTLE
Both of these teams are struggling this season with a combined three wins between these two teams. There is not much to say about these two teams because they have nothing going for them but I will take the Lions 24-17.
SAN DIEGO AT NEW YORK GIANTS
The Giants have been ailing as of late and look to rebound against the high powered offense of the Chargers. The Chargers have a lot of weapons on the offensive end and the Giants secondary has not been playing like they did when they won the Super Bowl. I see Vincent Jackson having a big game and the Chargers win 31-27.
TENNESSEE AT SAN FRANCISCO
The Titans come off their first win of the season against the Jaguars and look to keep the ball rolling against the 49ers. I like San Francisco’s style of play and the way their coached. I will take Vernon Davis scoring again this week and they win 21-13.
DALLAS AT PHILADELPHIA
Both of these two teams come into this game with a 5-2 record. Dallas is playing well and Miles Austin has emerged as Tony Romo’s main target. The Eagles are high flying like an Eagle and with Jackson and Maclin as Mcnabb’s long ball targets they will prove to be too much for Big D. Eagles win 28-24.
PITTSBURGH AT DENVER
Denver is coming off their first loss of the season and Pittsburgh is shaping back into their old self. Both teams have been playing good defense and I look for it to be a low scoring game with the Broncos winning 13-7.
