Finnegan Interception and Michael Griffen?

After watching this video for the first time you might not recognize the poor blocking by his teamates as he Finnegan trys to return the pick for six. Watch the video again and look especially at Michael Griffen who proceeds to run up the sideline and does not block a single person. Griffen even manages to turn around and watch Finnegan but doesnt help his teamate out by picking up a block for him. Do you think Finnegan could have scored if one or two of his teamates picke dup a block? We can debate that here on the SportZcourt.

Vick not flying like an Eagle

People were looking for Michael Vick to shine in the Eagles preseason finally but wow was Vick far from it. Vick did complete almost 64 percent of his passes while going 7 for 11 but he only threw for a total of 26 yards!! Yes only 26 yards and he threw an interception. Michael Vick was also sacked 4 times for 40 yards!! Vick had an awful night for the Eagles and finished with a 29.7 passer rating. For all the hype surrounding Vick these are way below subpar numbers for a quarterback. Vick did however have a bright spot in rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown but amongst the positives of his running game he did lose a fumble. Michael Vick just ensured everyone that this is Donavan Mcnabb’s team.

Rockies vs. Giants

In the national league everyone is paying attention to the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants as they are going to be battling for the wild card slot. Everyone and their mothers have narrowed it down to these two teams who will determine the wild card team from the National League. The Rockies own a half game lead with 28 games remaining on their schedule. September 14 will be the time when we see who wants it more as they will open a three game series to leapfrog one of the two into the postseason. The Rockies have scored over a hundred more runs than the Giants but the Giants pitching staff has been better than the Rockies. Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain have been on the top list of pitchers in the league this year and with the addition of Brad Penny they have the pitching. In the NFL they say defense wins championships and in baseball pitching wins a game that is why I have the Giants beating out the Rockies and making it to the playoffs.
