Fantasy RB Stud or Dud?

I will give you my top 5 fantasy stud running backs and will also give you five running backs that will under achieve what they are expected to do this year.

Studs:

1. Chris Johnson has to be number one after his season last year. Promising to break the 2,000 mark again will prove to be a tough task but this guy looks like he can do. The preseason has looked good for Johnson who has scored in each game. He should be a lock almost every week to put up big fantasy numbers.

2. Maurice Jones-Drew is slightly ahead of AP because of his ball security. When it comes to all purpose yards MJD has the potential to lead the league. When i look at the Jaguars i see one passing threat in Sims-Walker and thats it, so look for Jones-Drew to recieve a bulk load of carries and will catch a good amount out of the backfield.

3. Adrian Peterson looks like he will get a heavier dosage with the aging Favre. Brett Favre has come out and said that he can not do what he did last year and that Peterson will have to do the work this year. Look for Adrain Peterson to get a few more yards than last year, hopefully he can hold on to the ball.

4. Rashard Mendenhall i think that this guy will have a breakout season without Big Ben for 4-6 weeks i feel as though Mendenhall will get a larger dosage of carries. He also has bulked up and is asking for more goal line carries and i think that coach Tomlin believes in him and will do so.

5. Ray Rice is the only other running back other than Chris Johnson to have 2,000 yards from scrimmage. There is no doubt in my mind that Rice can get the Job done as an every down running back but do the Ravens believe that? The Ravens elect to give the ball to Willis and Ler'on on the goal line which depletes Ray's value.

Dud's:

1. DeAngelo Williams/Jonathan Stewart is a problem beacuse they split to many carries. Both backs are extremely talented and can load up a fantasy sheet if they didn't share carries. I believe that each back will get decent numbers but not worthy of being drafted as high as they are projected.

2. Ryan Grant has not been in the league that long but his body is that of a ten year vet. I worry that his body will not hold up an entire season. Plus with Aaron Rodgers in his prime and potential MVP, the running game in Green Bay will be far from 50 50.

3. Ryan Mathews is getting more hype for a fantasy running back that i have seen in years. I do believe that he can be a good back in this league but as a rookie with a passing offense and big play Sproles, I do not see this guy haveing a season worthy of drafting him in the first round.

4. Shonn Green is goin to have an average season but with new targets for Sanchez to play with I do not see him getting the goal line carries. I feel as though he will have a good number of yards without much touchdowns. Plus unlike the majority out there, I do believe that LT will produce a little more than expected.

5. Steven Jackson is the most talented running back out of these dud's but playing for the Rams is just down right awful. Last year Jackson was second in running back yardage behind Johnson but only managed to get in the endzone 4 times. With either feely or Bradford it does not look like either one will help his game out.

Wade County Everywhere?

Dwyane Wade has always been known as a good family guy with a clean image down in Miami. Wade competes day in and day out with the best of them and there is no question about that. He has a humble approach to the game of basketball and also approachs his life with the same attitude. Known for buying his mother a church and helping out single moms with housing. Wade has never been viewed as the bad guy but with the new additions of fellow all-stars Lebron James and Chrish Bosh, he has that target on his back.

In an article posted by Isreal Gutierrez, Wade comes out and says "every place is going to sell out when we come to town. So (opposing teams) can thank us now."

Not the tipical Wade we are used to but with all the media attention surrounding the Heat and their off season aquistions then we might want to get used to this. Wade will have Lebron and Bosh's back when it comes to questions about them leaving their teams to come to South Beach.

Was those comments made by Dwyane Wade appropraite or a little to much of a cocky side coming out with the arrival of two superstars?
